I have lived on the Gulf Coast of Florida my entire life with
the exception of 6 years spent in the Air Force and have been
guiding for 12 years. I grew up camping, hunting, and fishing
with my parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles. Besides my
family, I have been very fortunate to have met, fished with
and learned from many of the most knowledgeable people in our
sport. A special thanks goes to Lefty Kreh and Flip Pallot
whom I have known for over 20 years.
Media Spotlights
This resulted in my filming two shows with Flip for
his Walker's Cay Chronicles show aired on ESPN 2. The
shows ran in Spring and Fall 2003. The shows feature Redfishing with some Snook, fly
and spin on Pine Island Sound and Ding Darling National
Wildlife Refuge.
I have also done some writing with
photos for Florida Sportsman magazine in the "At the
Vise" and "Fly Tech" columns. (Issues by date are: June 1999,
October 2000, April 2001, May 2001, June 2001, November 2001,
and December 2001.)
Articles featuring the fishing I do
here have appeared in: Florida Sportsman April 2005;
May 2006; and Fly-Fishing in Saltwaters July/August
2005.
Articles on the flies I tie, with
biography, have appeared in: Saltwater Flyfishing
February/March 2005; Art of Angling Journal; vol.3,
issue 1, 2005
Some of my photos appeared in the "Lee
Island Coast, Nature Guide" booklet, available from the Lee
Visitor and Convention Bureau.
